Chris Fodor owner of City & Country Winery, & artist Steve Rogers have teamed up to bring Calgarians, Rumblecan.
Rumblecan is an art project that Chris, & Steve will blossom into a hub of creativity, musically, & visually in the Manchester area of Calgary. Inspired by the news that Calgary's beloved "Blues Can" in Inglewood was closing, Steve initiated the plan to revitalize City & Country's outdoor patio by getting their own C-Can Container stage.  The close proximity of the train tracks, & a love of Link Wray's famous tune "Rumble" made choosing the name easy.
Getting excited about the new outdoor stage soon led to the creation of an indoor stage. It's Calgary, we wanted to be able to pivot in the weather, say Chris, & Steve.
Both Chris, & Steve see the Manchester area as a great destination for Calgarian's, & tourists to visit. With its growing number of breweries, distilleries, it's sure to attract some really cool new businesses.
Future event ideas now keep coming, Weddings, Parties, Anything is now the motto, when we start brainstorming for the future says Steve. There's talk of staging a live wrestling event, after all it's called Rumblecan.
Calgarians are sure to be pleasantly surprised to see its only urban winery, & together with Steve's curated art exhibits, it's sure to be a hit.
Let's get ready to Rumble!
